The Intellectual Property Law Society, LCDO, and the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (MDVLA) are pleased to announce that they will host an Art Law Clinic on Saturday September 12 from 1 - 4pm at the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Art Law clinics held monthly by MDVLA throughout Baltimore assist and connect artists with lawyers who understand the unique challenges of creative work.

The Law Art Clinic is perfect for the artists to start taking their creative practices seriously, gain clear and actionable legal guidance, get answers to specific questions about contracts, copy right, or creative business and to build something meaningful and protect it.

This Art Law Clinic is also perfect for law students interested in intellectual property and entertainment law. All students are welcome to participate, to sit with attorneys and artists to learn about legal practice geared towards burgeoning and seasoned artists.

Students should reach out to Iya Jackson at iya@mdvla.org and to Monseratt Zapien at monserrat.zapien@ubalt.edu to express their interest in participating in the MDVLA Art Law Clinic.

Participation in the Art law clinic will count towards pro bono hours. (Say yes to the Pro Bono pledge and start logging Pro Bono Hours. Questions about the Pro Bono pledge, email Associate Director, Liz Solar at esolar@ubalt.edu .)
