 Jobs & Career
Good afternoon,

I hope you are all doing well. I just wanted to pass along some intern and fellowship opportunities.

Elizabeth Frankel Fellowship at the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights. The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights announces the first annual Elizabeth Frankel Fellowship for the summer of 2022. This Fellowship Program intends to honor Elizabeth M. Frankel's passion for supporting law students as they learn to advocate effectively for immigrant children and families. The Fellows will serve as Child Advocates for individual children and conduct legal research and writing under the guidance of Young Center staff within the Child Advocate Program. The Fellows will also engage in policy advocacy through ongoing initiatives at the Young Center under the supervision of the Policy Program. Fellows will receive a stipend of $10,000 for ten weeks (40 hours a week). The Fellowship Program will run from June to August 2022, with some flexibility for individual start and end dates. The final application deadline is January 7, 2022. Please see the attached flyer for more information about the application procedure.

Kids In Need of Defense ("KIND") is currently looking for Spanish-speaking interns. KIND mainly works on immigration cases for children under 21. Most of their caseload consists of SIJS, asylum, and some U/T visas. Please click on this link to learn more. You can limit the list by choosing Baltimore in the drop-down menu to see more details about the internship. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact Melina Quiroz at melina.quiroz@ubalt.edu. Please also feel free to share the word with anyone.

The National Immigrant Justice Center ("NIJC") is seeking interns interested in learning more about U.S. immigration law and policies while making a difference in the lives of people who need legal representation. NIJC is currently accepting internship applications for Summer 2022. Priority consideration for Summer 2022 internship applications will be given to applications received by January 7, 2022.  NIJC offers remote internships. To learn more, please click on this link.
